Aerophare - Aerobar

Aérophare – Aerobar - DVVD

Aerophare combines a tower 60 m high with a balloon 10 m in diameter, capable of transporting up to 12 passengers to a height of almost 50 m. A patented invention, Aérophare offers a new view of the city and an original tourist attraction, geared to city centres. The structure consists of a steel double-helix whose thread increases with height. This enables the material’s density to be geared to the forces of the wind and passengers in the balloon, as well as establishing rhythm and an impression of movement. Each section has been optimised whilst ensuring that there is no danger of the structure buckling. The tubes are curved and assembled along a constantly changing axis, to follow the turns of the helix without any cutting or adjustment. The assemblies are designed to enable a complete dismantlement.

In the same way, Aerobar is an original skybar, dedicated to theme parks. Its metal frame contains a sliding 12-seat basket that takes visitors 35 meters sky-high.
